The boys are loving their new wagon! They rode in it for the first time earlier this week and switched positions multiple times. They had to check out the view from each seat and see if it was any different sitting by someone different. They loved it and were full of smiles!
Brody is just starting to crawl. The first time he did it was Tuesday night. I tried to take a video yesterday, but Brennan kept handing him whatever I tried to get him to crawl to. :) Here are a couple videos from today.
It is finally cool enough to enjoy a day at the park! These pictures are from last week when we went to the park with all the Oakley cousins that live in Kansas.
The last couple of days, Brody has made some great accomplishments! He scoots forward on the bed; it must be easier for him to lock his toes in on our beds than in the floor. His first scoot was Saturday evening on our bed, lunging his head right into Brennan's head. Since then, he has made one lunge forward several different times but only on the bed. Today, I realized he just needed the right motivation to move. Brennan was on the floor doing a puzzle and Brody scooted toward the puzzle, waited a few seconds, and scooted again to get one of the pieces. I am not sure I am ready for him to be on the move but do hope he gets the hang of it quickly because he cries in frustration due to not being able to move. The last couple weeks, he has been trying to scoot but it either ends in scooting backward (most of the time) or occasionally rolling over.
Brody has also recently learned that rolling can get him from place to place. With scooting not working on the floor until today, he has rolled to what he wants.
This weekend Brody also learned that he can sit up from a laying position. He has been able to sit on the floor without assistance for around a month but did not know that he could set himself up until Saturday morning. It is still hard for him to do, but he works hard and gets himself up.
Brody also started eating food yesterday. He has not been very interested in baby cereal or baby food, so we haven't ever fed him much. Yesterday at Chili's he ate saltine crackers and today he ate graham crackers. He still doesn't have any teeth, but seems to like holding his own food much better than being fed cereal or baby food.
